This style of cane/stick fighting comes from Grandmaster Remy Presas’ Modern Arnis and Grandmaster Crispulo “Ising” Atillos’, Saavedra Balintwak Eskrima. The Domog (Do-Doug’s M-method O-of G-grappling) is my many years of training in several traditional martial arts styles here and several in the Philippines. It is a very comprehensive form of self protection which includes first single then double cane/stick methods encompassing, counters, disarms, locks and throws. Once this is understood you then move on to empty hand methods which involves, kicking, kneeing, elbowing, hand techniques. The next thing one learns are our empty hand and weapons forms with each move realistically translated. Then finally for those who wish to travel and participate we have full contact International competitive stick fighting open to men and women, this is not mandatory. So come and gain an experience in self confidence unlike anything you’ve know before where anything you pick up becomes your friend and dependable backup. Let’s not forget that it is a very beautiful martial art to do and to look at while working both hemispheres of your brain during training.
